POLICE in Edinburgh are asking for the public’s help in tracing a missing teenager.Adeddamola Adebayo, known as Damola, was last seen on Monday, 6 April, 2026, in the Granton area.
He was reported missing to police yesterday, Tuesday, 21 April, 2026.
The 17-year-old has links across the city, including the Wester Hailes area and Ferry Road.
Adeddamola is described as black, of slim build, around 6ft 4ins tall with short black hair. His current clothing is not known, and he speaks with a London accent.
Sergeant Andy Wylie said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries across the city to make sure that Adeddamola is safe.
“We’re eager to hear from anyone who may have seen, or spoken to him, since the beginning of April, to get in contact.
“If Adeddamola himself sees this appeal – please get in touch with police.”

POLICE are appealing for the help of the public to trace a 19-year-old woman reported missing in the Leith area.
Lauren Fulton was last seen around 8.30am on Friday, 17 April, 2026, in the Ferry Road area.
She is described as around 5ft 8ins, of slim build with bushy brown hair and usually wears glasses. When last seen Lauren was wearing grey sweatpants, a dark grey jacket and headphones.
Sergeant James Muir said: “Concerns are growing for Lauren’s welfare and it is important we make sure she is safe and well.
“We are asking anyone who has seen Lauren or knows where she might be to get in touch. If you are out and about in the area please keep a lookout for her.”

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a crash in Edinburgh in the early hours of this morning.
Around 12.21am (Saturday, 11, April, 2026) police received a report of a crash involving a blue MG HS and a 49-year-old male pedestrian on Chesser Avenue.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital having sustained life-threatening injuries.
The 35-year-old female driver was not injured.
Sergeant Fraser Mitchell said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
“I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision to contact us, especially those who may have dash cam footage that could assist with our enquiries.

Police Scotland has released images of two males who they believe may be able to assist with their ongoing inquiries into an incident that occurred between 9.40pm and 10.05pm on Friday, 16 January 2026, at a building in the Potterrow area.
The first man is described as white, between 18-25-years-old and of slim build. He was wearing a white tracksuit with the hood over his head, dark sunglasses, a grey and blue striped scarf and black and red Nike basketball-style trainers.
The second man is described as white, between 18-25-years-old and of slim build. He had short dark-coloured hair and was wearing black framed glasses, a dark coloured baseball cap with a white motif on the front, a light-blue denim jacket with a grey t-shirt underneath, light coloured trousers and light brown ‘Ugg’-style boots.
Police Constable Neil Mackay said: “As part of our investigation we are eager to trace the two men pictured. They are believed to have left the Potterrow area in the direction of West Nicholson Street. I’d ask anyone who can help to come forward as soon as possible.”

POLICE have released an image of a man they believe may have information that will assist their investigation into an incident that took place on Friday, 16 May 2025 at a premises on Comely Bank.
The man is described as around 6ft and of slim build with grey hair and grey facial hair.
Constable Michael Ross said: “We would ask the man in the image, or anyone that recognises him to contact officers by calling Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1319 of 19 May 2025.

POLICE in Edinburgh are appealing for information after two men broke into a property in the Silverknowes area and demanded car keys from the occupant.
The incident happened around 4.10am on Wednesday, 15 October, 2025, at a house on Silverknowes Midway.
The men were wearing all black clothing, face coverings and gloves. Nothing was stolen from the property.
Enquiries so far suggest they may have had a white BMW 1 series car with black wheels.
Detective Sergeant Will Dickson said: “Fortunately, the occupant was not injured but she was left very shaken by what happened.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and we are asking anyone who saw anything, or who has private CCTV that could help, to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area around the time of the incident, please check any dash-cam footage to see if you have captured something that could assist.”

Nihat Karani, 63, was last seen at around 9.30pm last night (Thursday, 3 July, 2025) in the Royston Mains Crescent area. He left here on foot and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
He is described as around 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build, with grey/white hair and a moustache. He wears glasses which he has on a chain around his neck and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.
Nihat’s first language is Bulgarian and he speaks limited English.
Inspector George Nisbet from Drylaw Police Station said: “Nihat knows the city and is known to visit Edinburgh’s park and green spaces, but he rarely does this alone.
“He walks with a walking stick which he had in his possession when he was last seen.
“We have a number of police resources looking for Nihat and I would ask anyone who may have seen him, or a man matching his description, to report this to us as soon as possible.”

The man pictured may be able to help with enquiries. He is described as a white, 5ft 7in tall, slim build, around 30 years old with blue/green eyes, short light brown hair a light beard. He was wearing a dark coloured zip-up bomber jacket with a hood, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms, and black and white trainers.

Officers are continuing to appeal for any information that could help to trace 59-year-old Raymond McCourt, a convicted prisoner serving his sentence at HMP Castle Huntly. He was reported missing to police around 5.30pm on Tuesday, 22 April, 2025 after he failed to return to the open prison.
The last confirmed sighting of him is at a premises in Duke Street, Glasgow at 4.40pm on Tuesday.
He was now last seen wearing a checked red, white and blue shirt, a checked baseball cap and a rain jacket.
