CCTV appeal following serious assault on Lower Granton Road

Police Scotland has released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquires into a serious assault on Lower Granton Road, Edinburgh.

The incident happened around 4.30pm on Saturday, 16 May, 2026. The man is described as white, 6ft in height, of heavy build, aged 40-50 years-old and bald.

Detective Sergeant Keith Morrison said: “We would ask the man in the image, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us as soon as possible.”

Police: Do you know this man?

Police Scotland has released an image of a man who may be able to assist with an ongoing investigation into a series of housebreaking incidents in Edinburgh.

The incidents took place at residential properties across the city between 4 and 21 April, 2026.

The man officers wish to speak with is described as aged mid-30s to mid-40s, medium to heavy build and clean-shaven. He is believed to speak Spanish and may have a South American accent or use Colombian slang. His most recent clothing includes a baseball cap, waterproof jacket, and an across-the-shoulder bag.

Detective Constable Tom Cunningham said: “We would appeal to the man in the image, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us as soon as possible.

Police release CCTV image following assault in Niddry Street

POLICE have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation into a serious assault in Edinburgh.

The incident occurred around 2.30am on Sunday, 12 April, 2026, outside a nightclub in Niddry Street when a man was seriously assaulted.

Officers are keen to speak to the man in the image as he could hold vital information which could assist their enquiries. He is described as aged between 25 and 35 years old, with a medium build and short, dark hair. He was wearing a green-coloured long sleeve top and gilet, blue jeans and black and white trainers.

Detective Constable Mark Richmond said: “I would appeal to anyone who has any information about the incident or if you recognise the man in the image, please get in touch.”

Comely Bank incident: Do you know this man?

POLICE have released an image of a man they believe may have information that will assist their investigation into an incident that took place on Friday, 16 May 2025 at a premises on Comely Bank.

The man is described as around 6ft and of slim build with grey hair and grey facial hair.

Constable Michael Ross said: “We would ask the man in the image, or anyone that recognises him to contact officers by calling Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1319 of 19 May 2025.

Telfer Subway incident: Police release CCTV image

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into a robbery at Telfer Subway, Edinburgh which occurred around 5.30pm on Friday, 14 February, 2025.

The man is white, aged between 18 and 26 years old, with a medium build and wearing a navy-blue tracksuit.

Police appeal following attempted robbery in Prestonfield

Police Scotland has released an image of a man who may be able to assist their enquiries into an attempted robbery which occurred around 6.25pm on Monday 7 October, 2024. The incident happened in the Prestonfield Avenue area.

The man (pictured) is described as being around 5ft 4inches in height, aged in his early to mid-30s with short dark hair and of a heavy build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, a black body warmer, dark three-quarter length trousers and black trainers.

The man (pictured above) is described as white, aged in his twenties, around 6ft in height with dark hair. He was seen to be wearing a hooded top, reflective trousers and black trainers.

Officers are urging the male or anyone who may recognise him to contact police.

Missing woman Santra Saju last seen at Almondvale

POLICE in Edinburgh are continuing to appeal for information to help trace 22-year-old Santra Saju missing from the South Gyle area.

Enquiries have confirmed that Santra was in Asda at Almondvale, Livingston on Friday, 6 December 2024 between 9.10pm and 9.45pm. She had previously been in the Burnvale area of Livingston around 8.30pm the same evening.

Santra is described as 5ft 6 inches, of Indian ethnicity, slim build, with short black hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur hood.

Inspector Alison Lawrie from Corstorphine Police Station said: “We now know that Santra picked up a black and white shopper style bag from an address in Burnvale on Friday evening, but she did not have it when she entered the supermarket. The bag is distinctive and someone may remember seeing her carrying it.

“We are continuing to review CCTV footage and have released images of Santra from the supermarket in the hope that someone recognises her.

“Extensive enquiries are being carried out in an effort to trace her. If you have any information please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3390 of Sunday, 15 December 2024.”

Police have released an image of a male they wish to speak to who may be able to assist with their enquiries into an assault which took place on Saturday, 14 September, 2024 on George IV Bridge. The incident took place at around 8pm.

The male (pictured above) is described as a white male, medium build, mid-30s, approximately 5ft 9” tall with short dark hair. He was seen to be wearing a red short sleeved polo shirt, dark skinny jeans and white trainers.

Fire-raising incident in Edinburgh: CCTV image released

POLICE have released an image of a male they believe may be able to assist their enquiries into a fire-raising incident which occurred at Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh on the evening of 19 September 2024 at around 8:45pm.

Officers believe that the male shown in the image may have information that could assist them and would ask him or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.
