You are invited to an Edinburgh Shoreline event at the Botanic Garden on 29 March. This is the start of a year- long project focusing on the Edinburgh Shoreline – its rich history, culture and biodiversity – with input from local communities regarding how they relate to their section of coast and how they envisage it in the future. Wardie Bay Beachwatch rescheduled again

Now it’s SUNDAY 11 March from 10.30am

Ok… I’m sorry. Yet again, I’ve had to postpone.

I didn’t need to do this once last year, but my priority is a decent and thorough data survey & beachclean 🏖

The beach really needs it. It’s currently covered in tyres and sewage waste and, of course, oceans of plastic. Nature is choking.
I also want us to do a nurdle hunt for those insidious plastic pellets directly from industry waste.
Saturday’s weather forecast is obviously awful! 🌊
We can’t do a decent job in torrential rain & wind. So. please join our growing army on Sunday!!! I really need you to come this weekend.
The more the merrier. Many hands make light work. etc. etc.

With love

Karen
p.s.  Bring your Mums!  & please help spread the word. 💙

Trinity Community Council News

Here’s your first update of the year and some security advice on sheds from Police Scotland.

Please note that we have two special presentations planned for our next meeting on 12 February and for this reason have booked a larger room than usual at an alternative location – Wardie Parish Church.

Best Wishes

Bill Rodger, Trinity Community Council
