Black Pig & Oyster up for sale

The Black Pig & Oyster in Leith is up for sale, brought to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co. Situated in an enviable location within the Shore, the Black Pig & Oyster restaurant is surrounded by new and exciting bars, restaurants, cafes and shops, including Michelin star restaurants such as The Kitchin and Martin Wishart’s iconic site.

The 65 cover restaurant with a full premises licence has been refurbished to a high standard by the current owner featuring unlined brick walls and creative decor suitable for multiple cuisine styles. The entrance of the restaurant is a steel and glass extension, used as a reception area and an ideal space for hosting drinks and coffees before or after dinner. The stunning metalwork complimented by the glass allows dinner guests to fully enjoy views of the Shores water. Additional seating for 20 covers is available outside across from the waterfront quay.

Tony Spence, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Edinburgh office who is handling the sale, comments; “Leith has become increasingly popular for dining and restaurateurs are now looking to take advantage of this by offering different styles of dining in an upcoming affluent area.

“The current lease has eight years remaining, however the landlord is looking for a long term investment as the restaurant is situated below an already existing office suite. This opportunity would be best suited to a chef operator, however there is scope for an experienced multiple operator to drive its potential in an exceptional area.”

Christie & Co is seeking an asking price of £90,000 for the leasehold.
