Man jailed for Morrison Street attack

A man who assaulted a woman and attempted to sexually assault her has been jailed. At Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, Juan Martin Comba Valdez was convicted and sentenced to 18-months in prison for the attack, which took place in Morrison Street during the early morning of Sunday 12th May. CCTV appeal following serious assault on city bus

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to as they believe he may be able to assist with their investigation in relation to a serious assault.

Pedestrian seriously injured after taxi mounts pavement

A man is in a serious condition after being hit by a taxi which mounted a pavement in the city centre yesterday.

CCTV footage released following Dundee Street assault

Police in Edinburgh have issued CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to who may be able to assist with their enquiries following an assault.

The incident took place on Sunday 28th April 2019 at 4am on Dundee Street, when a man was injured and required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Keith Tulloch of Corstorphine CID said: “This was a particularly nasty incident from which the victim has sustained a serious injury.

“We believe the man in the footage may be able to assist us with our enquiries and we are appealing for him, or anyone who may know him, to make contact with Police Scotland.”
