A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an assault in North Edinburgh.
The incident happened around 7.30pm on Monday, 17 August, in the Waterfront Avenue area.
The man was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday (Friday, 11 September, 2026).
A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault and an assault on South Bridge, on Saturday, 1 August, 2026.
Around 2.10am, a 42-year-old man was seriously assaulted and taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Another man was assaulted on the same street and enquiries are continuing to trace the victim of that assault.
The 33-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a serious assault in Muirhouse Gardens.
Emergency services were called to a common stairwell around 12.45pm on Friday, 17 July, 2026.
A 54-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to serious injuries.
The 30-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 20 July.

A 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences in Edinburgh.
Police officers executed warrants at Salamander Street, Breadalbane Street and Western Harbour Way yesterday. Cannabis with an estimated street value of around £895,000 was discovered along with cash.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today – Wednesday, 29 April, 2026.

Around 6.50pm last night – Tuesday, 30 December, 2025 – Police were made aware of disorder in the Albion Road area of Edinburgh ahead of the Hibernian v Aberdeen match.
Officers attended and a 26-year-old man was arrested for behaving in a threatening and abusive manner. He will appear at court at a later date.
An investigation is under way to identify further individuals involved in the disturbance.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested during the match in connection with a pitch invasion at the Edinburgh derby on Saturday, 27 December, 2025.

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with six sexual assaults in Stockbridge and the New Town.
Police received reports of three incidents on the evening of Friday, 12 December, 2025, in the Fettes Row, Inverleith Row and Saxe Coburg Street areas. Three further incidents were reported thereafter in the Dean Bank Lane and Royal Crescent areas.
Following extensive enquiries, a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 22 December.

Emergency services attended and a 34-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 36-year-old man is due to appear in court at a later date.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder and possession of a firearm in Wester Hailes.
The incident occurred on Thursday, 24 July, 2025 on Hailesland Gardens, Edinburgh around 3.40pm.
The 25-year-old is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow – Friday, 15 August, 2025.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of drugs with an estimated street value in excess of £347,760, in South West Edinburgh.
Around 12pm on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, officers acting on information received searched a flat in Calder Road where they found a cannabis cultivation.
The man was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
