Drumbrae Library Hub are delighted to be hosting Bitesize Learning Sessions for Parents and Carers!

Parenting can be challenging at times. Bitesize Parenting Support are here to help! Sometimes we all need a bit of help and advice.

The Drumbrae sessions are:

Digital Wellbeing – How can I make sure my child has good health habits online?

Weaning – I want to help my child have a healthy diet!

Monday 19th January 2026 at 11am

Toilet Training – A parent and carer workshop

Ever wanted to know how your day-to-day tech works?

Join Edinburgh Remakery at Drumbrae Library Hub for a hands-on workshop guiding you through swappable parts to safely dismantling or keeping your devices working.

No tools or tech needed!

This event is for anyone aged 14 and up and is free with no need to book.

Police alert following break-ins

Community Alert: Vehicle Break-Ins in Clermiston & Corstorphine

🚨

Police are urging residents in the Clerwood Gardens and Caroline Terrace areas to check their vehicles for any missing belongings. Several vehicle break-ins were reported in the early hours of Monday, 15th September 2025.

If you discover your vehicle has been broken into or find missing items, please:

– Contact 101 and quote incident number 0239 of 15/09/2025

– Provide details of missing items to help match property with owners

To reduce the risk of vehicle crime, always:

– Lock your vehicle doors

– Remove valuables or keep them out of sight

– Park in well-lit or secure areas where possible

Funky Friday Crafts at Drumbrae

This Friday we are going to be joined by Fusion – Jar in Action SustainAbility project for our 2pm Craft session.

They will be running a workshop constructing works of art in glass jars.

Bring along your ideas and we will provide all the materials you will need.

Many hands make light work at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

Big shout out and thanks to The Edinburgh Tool Library for bringing staff and volunteers here on Saturday to build stuff for the Neighbourhood Centre.

Also thanks to Andy and Matthew who are DNC volunteers for giving up their Saturday to help.

As you can see from the photos we built a massive planter 4.8m x 1.6m and put up some funky shutters on our summerhouse.

Last year the summerhouse came under regular attack by apples being thrown at it. Hopefully our new shutters mean little damage can be done should apples again find themselves on a flight path towards the summerhouse!

Drumbrae Library Hub: Teddy Bears Picnic this Friday

It’s Monday and we’re really excited to meet all your cuddly toys.

Drop off your soft toy any time this week and come along on Friday to our special Teddy Bears’ Picnic Bookbug session at 2pm, collect your teddy bears, sing some songs and listen to a lovely story.
