North Edinburgh’s own knitting group, Time Bank Knit & Natter, are organising a Christmas Fayre on Friday 9th December, 12.30-2.30pm at North Edinburgh Arts.
As well as stalls, there will be a family-friendly Storytelling session with Moira, a Christmas decorations workshop, a ‘name the monkey’ competition where entrants will have the chance to win a hand-knitted monkey made by one of the knitters and some festive mince pies to keep us all going!
We also have a few stalls available to hire, at a cost of £5 per table.
If you, or anyone you know would be interested in booking a table, please reply to this email or call me on 0131 315 2151.
We would also love to see you at the fayre on the 9th, if you are able to make it along!
Mondays, 12 – 2pm at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre
Hi folks,
Just to say the Chat Café is up and running again and looking for new people to get involved. It’s for people new to the area, who may be learning English and for longer term residents too who want a chance to get out of the house, meet new people and help new folk settle in. It’s a simple way to get people out of the house to make new friends and support each other.
There is a free creche, so it’s especially useful for young parents who can be very isolated, especially if they are recent arrivals and don’t have family support around them. We talk, share a meal, go on trips, share information etc. All very relaxed and informal.
