‘Bringing the area alive’: Newhaven gets gardening
A local Heritage Garden Group enlisted the help of green-fingered volunteers to help green up an area in Newhaven’s Fishmarket Square recently. The project is part of this year’s Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom, the UK’s largest community gardening campaign. Granton Improvement Society: Mapping the way ahead?
Dear All,
Please find attached an invitation to the gathering to hear and discuss the end report from the Granton Improvement Society Asset Mapping and Community Questionnaire.
The finance for this Asset Mapping was jointly provided by the Scottish Government Regeneration Unit and Community Ownership Support Services (COSS).
Linda Gillespie from COSS will address the gathering of community organisations and groups who were either involved in providing valuable information for the questionnaires or are aware of the importance of taking part in this vitally needed discussion about the challenges and opportunities we are facing in North Edinburgh.
