North Edinburgh’s ‘To Absent Friends’ festival

The Old Kirk and Muirhouse church, Drylaw Parish Church, and North Edinburgh Arts have pulled together this programme for “To Absent Friends“, for folk to talk about good life, good death, good grief.

It started yesterday with our annual ‘All Souls’ service and moves around the area for the next fortnight (see poster for details). All welcome.

Local charity secures £50,000 from the Movement for Good Awards

Edinburgh-based charity People Know How has won a game-changing £50,000 award as part of the Movement for Good Awards. 
The scheme, set up by Ecclesiastical Insurance, has seen a total of £1million donated to good causes this year and the charity, which is currently based in the former Deutsche Bank House building at Crewe Toll, is among just ten organisations across the UK to receive a £50,000 donation.

First FetLor youngsters graduate with Duke of Edinburgh Awards

A VERY special ceremony has taken place to present the first youngsters from FetLor Youth Club with Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards following an ambitious programme of volunteering, wilderness activities and physical challenges.
