Morrisons charity football match raises £832
The weather was awful, but Sunday night’s charity football match at Spartans between the two local Morrisons stores still raised an impressive £832.76
Congratulations to the organisers and to everyone who took part to help raise funds for SAMH and CLIC SARGENT.
The match result? On an evening better suited to water polo Ferry Road beat their Granton Waterfront rivals 4 – 0!

National Awards for local youth projects
Two local projects have scooped awards at this year’s National Youth Work Awards. Spartans Community Football Academy picked up the National Raising Attainment Award for their work with vulnerable youngsters in North Edinburgh, while the Action for Children Heritage and Inclusion Project has won the National Equality and Diversity Award, sponsored by BBC Children in Need.
