Missing youth: Renewed appeal

HAVE YOU SEEN AHMAD?

POLICE continue to appeal for the help of the public to trace Ahmad Bader, 15, who has been reported missing from Edinburgh.

Ahmad was last seen around 4pm on Monday, 30 March, 2026 in the Abbeyhill area.

He is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build with short black hair. When last seen, he was wearing a light blue navy tracksuit, a black gilet and black trainers.

Enquiries so far suggest that Ahmad is still in the Edinburgh area.

Chief Inspector Scott Kennedy said: “Concerns are growing for Ahmad’s welfare, and I am continuing to appeal to anyone who knows where Ahmad might be, or has any information, to contact officers.

“If anyone has seen someone matching Ahmad’s description in the Edinburgh area, please get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1433 of 31 March, 2026.

Missing: Have you seen Ahmed?

POLICE are seeking the assistance of the public to trace a 15-year-old male missing from the Drylaw area.

Ahmed Bader was last seen around 1400hrs, Monday 30th March 2026, near to the Meadowbank area. Ahmed’s family are extremely concerned for his wellbeing.

Ahmed is described as a Black male, around 6 feet tall, medium build, with short black afro hair. He was wearing a light blue navy tracksuit, a black gilet, and black trainers.

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Ahmed. Enquiries thus far have revealed that Ahmed has connections within the Gorgie area.

T/PS Laura Elliott said: It is out of character for Ahmed not to be in touch with his family and friends. We just want to know that he is safe and well.

If anyone has seen Ahmed or has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please contact Police as a matter of urgency.

Appeal to trace 15-year-old Ahmad Bader 

Police are appealing for information to help trace 15-year-old Ahmad Bader from Edinburgh.

Ahmad was last seen at a premises on Gorgie Road around 8.20pm on Wednesday, 11 March.

He is described as being around 6ft tall, of medium build with short black hair and brown eyes.

When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and trousers and carrying a backpack.

Ahmad is thought to be in the South West area of Edinburgh, but it is believed he may have previously travelled to Dundee and Dunfermline.

Inspector Quentin Russell said: “We are extremely concerned for Ahmad’s welfare and are looking to trace him to make sure he is safe.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who has seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.”

MISSING: Have you seen Ahmad?

POLICE are appealing for the assistance of the public as part of ongoing efforts to trace fifteen year old Ahmad Bader who is currently missing.

Ahmad left his home address in the Granton area at 0830hrs on Friday morning the 22nd August.

He was last seen by his brother around 1330 hours on the same date walking past Granton Primary school whilst riding the bus home from school.

Have you seen Calvin?

POLICE are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing 14-year-old Calvin Whyte who has been missing from his home in Musselburgh since Wednesday, 30 July, 2025.

He is described as white, around 5ft 7ins and of slim build with short, dark-coloured hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a grey Adidas tracksuit with a black, grey and white McKenzie bodywarmer. He wears black framed glasses and was carrying a black satchel.

Calvin is known to frequent East Lothian, Midlothian and Edinburgh. He also visits Glasgow and North Lanarkshire regularly.

Inspector Keith Watson said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Calvin’s safety and wellbeing. We want to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.

“Officers are carrying out searches and enquiries in Musselburgh, Edinburgh and areas he frequents. I would urge anyone who has seen Calvin to contact us as soon as possible. I would also ask Calvin himself, if he sees this appeal, to please get in contact with police or a family member.”

Appeal to trace missing person Adeddamola Adebayo

POLICE are appealing for information to help trace 16-year-old Adeddamola Adebayo, who has been reported missing from Edinburgh.

Adeddamola was last seen on Old Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh on Monday, 9 June, 2025 and is believed to have travelled to Easter Road, Edinburgh.

He is described as 6ft 4ins tall, of slim build, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black jogging bottoms and carrying a red duffle bag.

Inspector Alan Healy said: “Our enquiries to trace Adeddamola are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone who has seen Adeddamola or who has any information about his whereabouts to contact us.

“We’re concerned for Adeddamola’s welfare and are keen to trace him as soon as possible to ensure he is safe.

“I would also appeal to Adeddamola directly – if you see this, please get in touch.”

Have you seen Kelvin?

POLICE are appealing to the public to help trace Kelvin Boamah (16) who is reported missing from the Craigmillar area.

Kelvin was last seen around 2pm on Tuesday, 15/04/25 in Greendykes.

He is described as 6ft tall (1.82cm). When last seen, he was wearing a black puffer style jacket, black trousers and white/black shoes.

Kelvin has access to public transport, and it is believed that he remains in Northeast Edinburgh.

Inspector Stewart Massie said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Kelvin and would ask anyone with information to make contact with us“.

Have you seen Safdar?

POLICE are appealing for assistance to trace Safdar Hanif, 14, who is missing from the Swanston area.

Safdar was last seen in Tryst Park around 8.20pm on Saturday (4 January). His family contacted police when he didn’t return home.

He is Asian, 5ft8, has short black hair, and is wearing a navy blue Nike jacket, and green and grey Nike tracksuit.

Sergeant Louise Gordon, Wester Hailes Police Station, Edinburgh, said: “We would ask anyone who has seen Safdar or knows where he is to contact police.

“Our concern is that despite both police and his family trying to contact him, no one has managed to get a hold of him yet.

“We have been checking CCTV and are liaising with local taxi, bus and train companies in an effort to trace Safdar.

“He may be with friends but the fact that he has not been in touch or heard from is of concern. Although he looks older, he is only 14-years-old and we and his family want him home safe.”

Have you seen Michael?

POLICE are appealing for the help of the public to trace a 16-year-old boy reported missing from Edinburgh.

Michael Cleal was last seen around 4.45pm on Wednesday, 5 June, in the Muirhouse Avenue area.

He has connections in the south side of Edinburgh, has links to Aberdeen and is known to use public transport.

Michael is described as slim, around 5ft, with black hair. When last seen he was wearing a black beanie style hat, a black jacket with a hood, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Sergeant Ian Fraser said: “Concerns are growing for Michael’s welfare and we need to make sure he is safe and well.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace him and one possibility is that he may have travelled to London, Camden Town area.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who has seen Michael or may know where he is.
