Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft of a purse on Groathill Drive North at around 12.30pm on Tuesday (22nd May). The purse was snatched from a woman’s hand by a male on a bicycle who then cycled off in the direction of Ferry Road. Police hunt youth gang following Ferry Road incident

Drylaw Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which occurred about 5.30pm on Tuesday 8th May. A cyclist on the Ferry Road walkway near to Ainslie Park Leisure Centre had items thrown at him and was pushed off his bike by a group of youths. CCTV appeal following bicycle robbery

Police are continuing to investigate a year-old robbery in the city centre.

Arrests follow Aberdeen Hibs clash

Around 15,000 fans were in Aberdeen at the weekend to watch as Aberdeen FC welcomed Hibernian FC to Pittodrie. Officers would like to thank the vast majority of these fans who were extremely supportive of police on the ground and who were clearly there to enjoy the game – but a very small number of people were charged in connection with various offences before and during the game despite repeated warnings that anti-social behaviour of any kind would be robustly dealt with. Man jailed for deliberate attempts to infect others with HIV

A man who set out to deliberately infect victims with HIV has been jailed. At the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Daryll Rowe pled guilty to four incidents, whereby he intentionally had unprotected sex with partners, while fully aware that he carried HIV.
