Bright Future for Edinburgh’s parks and green spaces following £900,000 grant

Edinburgh is one of eight urban areas to share in funding worth £11 million to secure the future of the UK’s parks and greenspaces. The capital was one of 81 councils and communities from across the UK to apply for Future Parks funding – and is the only Scottish city to be successful, receiving an award of £899,500.

Celebrating Project SEARCH

Congratulations to the 22 young interns aged 16-29 who graduated from the Edinburgh Project SEARCH programme this week.

Project SEARCH graduates

Each intern has successfully completed nine months of work experience at the City of Edinburgh Council or NHS Lothian to improve their employability and skills confidence. Project SEARCH is a transition programme for individuals aged 16-29 years who have additional needs when they are beginning new careers.  Continue reading Celebrating Project SEARCH

Drama as city council takes new approach to arts and culture funding

New Strategic Partnerships are at the forefront of the City of Edinburgh Council’s proposed Third Party Grants. 

The new grants aim to ‘strengthen, sustain and diversify the cultural offering in the city’ and benefit Edinburgh-based artists and participants as well as local audiences and visitors to the city.
