60,000 people join The World’s Big Sleep Out around the globe

The World’s Big Sleep Out kicked off in Hutt City, New Zealand on Saturday 7th December; Brisbane followed, then through Asia to Europe, including Edinburgh’s West Princes Street Gardens, London’s Trafalgar Square; jumping across the pond to Times Square in New York before the grand finale at the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium in LA, totalling 52 cities globally. Shock as charity reveals the Brussels sprout is not Scotland’s favourite Christmas side dish!

Mary’s Meals has revealed that Scotland’s favourite Christmas side dish is not the Brussels sprout!

The shocking news comes after people in Scotland were asked what side they prefer with their Christmas dinner. Roast potatoes claimed victory with almost a third of the vote, pigs in blankets came second (23 per cent) and the seasonal sprout scraped in at third place (20 per cent). Magnificent £7 million raised by Kiltwalk in 2019

Over 1,300 Scottish charities will share a “magnificent” £7 million raised after a record-breaking 25,000 heroes took part in this year’s Kiltwalks in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh.

A bad start to life shouldn’t mean a bad Christmas for Scotland’s children

With only five weekends left until Christmas, one Scottish children’s charity is asking members of the public to remember those children where Christmas can be a difficult time of year.
