SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT – THURSDAY 22 FEBRUARY from 1 – 2pm
GRANTON Goes Greener are very excited to be involved in the SUSTAINABLE FASHION SHOW organised by @ELREC_C3R in front of the @scottishparliament and have some of their preloved and upcycled pieces displayed during the show.
Join us on Thursday to learn more about reusing/ recycling and upcycling.
We are now accepting donations of good quality household items and looking for more men clothes and shoes as well as some older children/teenagers clothes.
We are very excited to have an evening full of exciting FREE workshops including macrame projects and some woodwork at Granton Parish Church, next Friday-26/01 between 4 – 6pm.
Bring your beautiful plants, cuttings, or gardening tools, and let’s exchange them with fellow plant enthusiasts. If you don’t have anything to bring – just come and join us anyway! There’s always something for everyone to bring back home.
This event is completely FREE, and everyone is welcome! No bookings needed.
Join us on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at St. Martins Church (232 Dalry Rd, Edinburgh, EH11 2JG) to find clothes, toys, books, DVDs, kitchen utensils, and more, all available for FREE!
Expect to explore a diverse selection of items, such as:
– Women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing
– Toys
– Books, CDs, and DVDs
– Kitchen utensils
– … and much more!
Please remember to bring your own bags to help us minimise waste.
Important note: We will not be accepting donations on the day of the event. If you’d like to make donations, please visit the ELREC Office at 14 Forth Street, EH13LH, on Wednesday, October 11th, or Thursday, October 12th, between 10 am and 5 pm.
GRANTON Goes Greener are very excited to be hosting more FREE macrame workshops at Granton Parish Church in October.
They will be delivered by lovely Alexandra from Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) and in order to sign up, you MUST be able to take part in all 4 as we will be working on one big project taking 4 weeks.
We are very excited to be organising another family-oriented rubbish picking event at Granton Beach with an eco group from St. James church at Goldenacre on Saturday 23rd September.
We will be meeting by the entrance to the beach at 11 am. Look out for Granton Goes Greener feather flag and our volunteers in green T-shirts
We will have rubbish pickers and rubbish bags for everyone, remember to wear some boots/ appropriate shoes rather than sandals and weather appropriate clothes.
Children must be accompanied by responsible adults.
Granton Goes Greener’s FREE sewing class is on every Monday between 10 am and 12 noon at the East Hall of Granton Parish Church, Edinburgh and we would happily welcome any new participants regardless their sewing skills.
Our class is designed to support individuals working on their individual projects and help more advanced ones to develop their sewing skills or learn sewing from scratch.
