Parklife: Free parkour sessions at West Pilton Park

There will be three days of Parkour workshops in West Pilton Park. For children age 12+. Spaces are limited – so book now!

Three days of Parkour in the park from 14:00 – 15:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday October 17^th -21^st.

Learn how to interact with the park and the local environment through the eyes of a Parkour practitioner – it is a free class!

The workshops are run by Access Parkour supported by PCHP as part of the West Pilton Park project.

Green space funding up for grabs

A multi-million pound fund to develop green spaces in some of Scotland’s most deprived areas has been announced by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Keith Brown. The money – which comes from EU funding – will support projects like new nature reserves and parks and green spaces in urban areas, benefiting communities across Scotland. Latest phase of Leith Walk programme is underway

Work has begun on the next stage of a major project to improve Leith Walk. Phase Four of the Leith Programme, between Pilrig Street and McDonald Road is now under way in September and will last around ten months. Join the Great British Beach Clean at Granton

Join in the Great British Beach Clean Family event

Monday 19 September (school holiday) 10.15am-2pm

If you’d like to get some fresh air with the kids on the the Monday autumn holiday, come along with us to take part in the Great British Beach Clean at Granton!

This is a family event helping clean and monitor litter levels at the beach. We’ll have a picnic snack and beach games as well as collecting and logging litter levels at the beach (with some help from Matt at the Marine Conservation Society).

Meet at NEA at 10.15 to get the bus to Granton Harbour, returning to NEA by 2pm.

Children under 8 must be accompanied, and we would love it if you could sign up at NEA so we know who’s coming:
