All are welcome whether you are 1 or 100, and most activities are FREE. And despite the saying, there’s even a free lunch 😁🤣 between 11.30-1.30!

Oh and did we mention the bouncy castle, apple juicing, drumming, puppet show, art workshops, bug hunt, Dr Bike fixing, footie, bake sale, tombola and prizes? Bring cash if you want to win something or buy some amazing jam or cakes!

Many hands make light work at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

Big shout out and thanks to The Edinburgh Tool Library for bringing staff and volunteers here on Saturday to build stuff for the Neighbourhood Centre.

Also thanks to Andy and Matthew who are DNC volunteers for giving up their Saturday to help.

As you can see from the photos we built a massive planter 4.8m x 1.6m and put up some funky shutters on our summerhouse.

Last year the summerhouse came under regular attack by apples being thrown at it. Hopefully our new shutters mean little damage can be done should apples again find themselves on a flight path towards the summerhouse!

We are gearing up for our big party day in only 4 weeks!

We have so much planned for the day and can’t wait to have you all there 🎉

Lunch provided by Scran Academy, Bookbug session, Moving Music drumming circle, National Galleries of Scotland art session, Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equality Council (ELREC) Dr Bike and bike activities (make your own bike-powered smoothie!), Tinderbox Collective are here with their Escape Drylaw game for you to try, Tummies Not Trash will be here with a food stall.

Not to mention fun activities in the garden, face painting and henna tattoos, a bake sale, puppet shows, apple pressing, our famous tombola, and amazing raffle with locally donated prizes… And yes, there is a bouncy castle!!!

Come along to Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre this next Thursday to share your views and ideas for the Easter Drylaw Gardens’ Greenspace!

ELREC: Bike Maintenance at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

Interested in cycling and bike maintenance? Come meet us and find out what ELREC Cycling Club has in store for you!

The free session will cover tips to keep your bike in top condition with demonstrations on puncture repair, brake and cable adjustments. It is informal, social, hands on, and above all fun!

North Edinburgh Tool Library at Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre

🌱 Exciting News for local gardeners! 🌱

Have you ever wanted to get stuck into some gardening but didn’t have the tools? We’ve got you covered!

Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre has launched a Garden Tool Library – a brand new free service to help our local community borrow hand tools and get gardening without the cost of buying them.

🌿 How it works:

– Become a member of Drylaw Neighbourhood Centre.

– Fill out a second quick form to join the Tool Library.

– Bring along proof of address (like a letter or driving license).

– Start borrowing! Tools can be borrowed for up to two weeks at a time.
