Gang Show auditions in Blackhall

CALLING ALL CUB SCOUTS AND BROWNIES!!

This is the incredible view the cast of the Edinburgh Gang Show 2022 will have in November!

We are looking for Cub Scouts from South East Scotland Scouts and Brownies from Girlguiding Edinburgh to make history and be part of the first Gang Show in the Festival Theatre.

Sunday 26th June, Blackhall St Columba’s, Columba Road.

Brownies Cast 1 – Abercorn, Blackford, Braid, Harlaw & Pentland – 2.00pm – 3.00pm.

Brownies Cast 2 – Forth, Inveralmond, New Leith, Raeburn & Turnhouse – 2.45pm – 3.45pm. Cub Scouts – 3.30pm – 4.30pm.

Give blood in Blackhall

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service are asking donors to make an extra special effort to give blood at St Columba’s Parish Church on Hillhouse Road tomorrow (Tuesday).

Sessions run from 2.30 – 4pm in the afternoon

and there’s an evening session from 5.30 – 8pm.

If you are not sure if you are eligible to donate, call 0845 30 17 270

Choirs to sing out at Sainsbury’s!

seasonsgreetingsFancy some seasonal sounds while you do your Christmas shopping? Sainsbury’s Blackhall will ring out with all your festive favourites with visits planned by three different choirs in the run-up to Christmas!

A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to welcome some members of the congregation of our local Church, Blackhall St Columba’s, to our store on Sunday (9 December) at 2pm to sing carols for our customers and colleagues. We are also looking forward to a visit from Stockbridge Primary School choir, who will be singing for us on Wednesday 12 December at 4pm, and the Edinburgh Jubilio Choir on Tuesday 18 December at 6pm.”

Murder in Blackhall!

Blackhall St Columba’s Parish Church is the place to be for murder mystery fans this month when the St Columba’s Dramatic Society performs ‘Curtain Up On Murder’ from 21 – 23 November.

Tickets are now on sale for the comedy murder mystery, which is set in a theatre at the end of a pier.

Performances are on Wednesday 21, Thursday 22 and Friday 23 November at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm.

Tickets, which cost £6, are available from the Church Office, cast and Drama group members and also on the internet from their website www.scds.co.uk
