Diwali to light up city centre

Organisers of Edinburgh Diwali have announced the most culturally diverse programme of performers and events in its five-year history.

Lord Provost Frank Ross, patron of Edinburgh Diwali, said “Once again, Diwali will light up the city with a dazzling parade and festival of lights, dance and music.
“It’s one of the most spectacular events on Edinburgh’s calendar and is truly inclusive, providing free family fun and celebrating the city’s many multi-cultural communities. Don’t miss our  most diverse programme yet!”

Edinburgh’s Chrsitmas 2019: 16 November 2019 – 4 January 2020

Underbelly has announced the full Edinburgh’s Christmas 2019 programme. Last year the world-renowned celebrations welcomed almost one million visitors who snapped up over 771,000 tickets to its various events, attractions, rides and markets.

Victoria Crowe exhibition attracts over 40,000 visitors

Last weekend marked the closing days of what has been the most popular exhibition at Edinburgh’s City Art Centre in recent years. Victoria Crowe – 50 Years in Painting, closed on Sunday having welcomed over 40,000 visitors, from Edinburgh, UK and further afield, young and old, life long admires of Crowe’s work and those who discovered it for the first time, to celebrate the life’s work of one of the UK’s finest artists.
