Easter Drylaw Drive to close for three weeks

Scottish Water has informed residents that a section of Easter Drylaw Drive will be closed to traffic for three weeks to allow essential repairs to the sewer network to take place.

The work will begin on Thursday 25 October and is expected to last three weeks.

All local footpaths will remain open but road traffic will be diverted via Easter Drylaw Place and Easter Drylaw View.

Venue switch for Madelvic History Group

The next meeting of the Madelvic History Group will be on Saturday morning 20th October from 10-12 but there’s been a change of venue.

Winter death figures are highest since turn of the century

Figures released by National Records of Scotland (NRS) yesterday show that a total of 23,137 deaths were registered across Scotland from December 2017 to March 2018, (winter 2017/18) compared with 20,946 in the previous winter (2016/17).  It was the largest number since 23,379 deaths were registered in winter 1999/2000.  Continue reading Winter death figures are highest since turn of the century
