Holyrood committee to scrutinise laws that tackle climate change

Scotland’s new law that aims to stop the damage caused by climate change will be put to the test by a Holyrood Committee. The Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee will examine the Climate Change (Emissions Reduction Targets) (Scotland) Bill, which sets a target of a 90% reduction in all greenhouse gases by 2050.

Communities across Edinburgh and Lothians are to benefit from a £70,000 project to support groups tackling vital social issues. Leith not-for-profit Gym offers mindfulness sessions thanks to charitable donation

A not-for-profit gym in Leith is to offer new mindfulness and yoga sessions designed to boost mental wellbeing, thanks to a four-figure donation from Aberdeen Standard Investments Charitable Foundation. Projekt 42, which aims to highlight the bond between physical fitness and mental health, has received over £3,100 to run two yoga and mindfulness courses over a period of six months.
