The Timebank Temptations, founded by the North Edinburgh Timebank, will bring joy to North Edinburgh this Thursday in celebration of Voluntary Arts Week – and they want YOU to join them!

Hosted by North Edinburgh Arts, the taster session will take place between 10am – 12 noon. Keen to share their passion for singing with others, Timebank Temptations are promoting free drop-in sessions every Thursday that are open for all abilities to attend. Those involved will be invited to join in with a short performance at the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh on 30 May.

Thursday’s drop-in taster session will be based around the theme “Songs to Inspire” with a chance to request your own songs in the lead up. Use our Facebook page to request your songs!

Relax in a welcoming room of friendly people with a tea or coffee and listen to the others sing, join in with one song or for the whole session – it’s really up to you how much you get involved!

Voluntary Arts Week celebrates creative participation and the many health and wellbeing benefits that taking part can bring to both individuals and communities. As part of the week, cultural groups across the UK and Republic of Ireland are invited to showcase their creativity and welcome new people to join them from 6 – 15 May. Voluntary Arts Week is an initiative of Voluntary Arts and acknowledges funding from Spirit of 2012.

Timebank Temptations members say:

“The choir is very uplifting, great for your spirit”

“I love coming to the singing group. The people are lovely, friendly and supportive. I get a sense of satisfaction when we perform and a laugh.”

“…sing with the Timebank Temptation singers, give into Temptation, we await you, join in!”

“Timebank [Temptations] is all about singing and enjoying everybody’s company and time”

“I just love singing, all kinds of music and songs, with all kind of people, joining in and singing together with the Scottish twist.”
