Many thanks to everyone who attended the Living in Harmony forum on Hate Crime. It was a very useful session and we covered a lot of ground. I’m attaching the minutes and will send around the slides from the training in due course.

Parklife: Free parkour sessions at West Pilton Park
There will be three days of Parkour workshops in West Pilton Park. For children age 12+. Spaces are limited – so book now!
Three days of Parkour in the park from 14:00 – 15:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday October 17th -21st.
Learn how to interact with the park and the local environment through the eyes of a Parkour practitioner – it is a free class!
The workshops are run by Access Parkour supported by PCHP as part of the West Pilton Park project.

PCHP are having a race night on Saturday 8 October (details below) and you are invited! It would be awesome if you could make it along. It’s going to be a fantastic fun evening with all the fun of the races (cash to be won), great food (including curry), fantastic raffle prizes and a disco.

Opportunities for young people at West Pilton Park
Hi All,
We are delighted to announce that Action For Children are taking on one of the West Park Improvement Plans as part of their ‘Community Challenge’ employability initiative. This is a fantastic opportunity for local young people to get involved in carrying out improvements to the woodland in their local area at the same time as developing new skills. It’s a great programme with lots of opportunities for progression. Find more information about the programme below and details on how to refer are attached. Please share around your local networks.

Could you please share this amongst your colleagues and partners within the North Edinburgh area?
Ideally we would be looking to engage with 13 young people in the local area. If we are not able to fill the 13 places from our group then I may need to open the referral process further to ensure we utilise the spaces.
