  • Tuesday 27th of June – Unconscious Bias Training – Learn how our brain’s biases can influence the process of staff recruitment and how we can manage these biases.
  • Wednesday 28th of June- Equality and Diversity Training – Understand the Equality Act 2010 and how it relates to your work.
  • Friday 30th of June – Language Barriers for Reception/Frontline Staff –Effective strategies to deal with language barriers with clients or within your organization.

FIX IT: making and fixing instead of buying

As part of an ongoing series of workshops for the FIX IT Project, Steve Marlow from Macfriendly IT services will be holding a session this Saturday 13th May.

This short workshop will give you hands on help and support in accessing the Internet using your Mobile Phone or Tablet. There will also be a question and answer session on all things Internet.

So if you want to set up an email address or find out more about using Facebook, Twitter or have some other I.T. issue, bring your phone or tablet along to The Art Shop in Muirhouse Shopping Centre and we will try and help you out.

City schools urged to sign up for Scotland’s first nationwide online maths contest

Pupils from across the Lothians are being invited to showcase their numeracy skills and prove they are top of the class by joining the 265 classes in the region who have already signed up for Scotland’s first ever nationwide online school maths contest, launched today (Friday 21stApril) by Scottish education technology social enterprise Sumdog.
