Our Family Fun Day is looking so exciting!
It’s next Friday, 31st January, 11am – 2pm.
We will have face-painting, slime-making, a magic show, a drop-in sewing workshop and the opportunity to meet the Muirhouse Library team and lots of great local organisations! It’s totally free – just pop by! We can’t wait to see everyone.

For children:
Storytime – enjoy a selection of fun stories at the session’s brand new time
For ages 3-5, 11-11.30am in the Children’s Library
Lego Club – unleash your creativity and make fabulous Lego creations!
For ages 7-11, 3pm in the Children’s Library
Burns Treasure Hunt – celebrate Burns Night with this special treasure hunt in the Children’s Library.

Artists’ books workshop with Susie Wilson – create your own tunnel book in this Miniature Theatres session

Free family fun day with @NSPCC_Scotland at McDonald Road Library on Tuesday 17 October, 3pm to 4.30pm. Free activities, snacks and meet Pantasaurus.

Talk PANTS is a partnership between the Edinburgh Child Protection Committee and NSPCC Scotland. The aim is to protect children from sexual abuse by encouraging parents, carers and professionals to have conversations with children in an age-appropriate way about how to stay safe.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of the PANTS rule across the city. PANTS helps children understand that they have a right to say no and if they need to speak out about something, someone will listen.
There is a range of resources available for parents, carers and professionals who work with children.
On Saturday 18th Feb we are gonna be EVEN MORE Family Fun than usual!
We will have BOOKBUG, with a visit from the Bug of the Book themselves, a SLIME WORKSHOP, you can make your own BADGE, there will be LIVE MUSIC, a CRAFT event, INFO POINTS from several local organizations, plus TEA & BISCUITS!!!

– Macmillan at Edinburgh Libraries are hosting a drop-in coffee morning from 11am to 12pm
– children’s face-painting, & other activities from Fair Saturday Scotland from 12pm to 2pm
– tour of Leith Theatre at 1pm (sign up for this on the day)
– dance workshop for children ages 4+ and their families at 2.30pm
