The latest update on the Campus Plan. The delays are extremely disappointing and frustrating!!
Some of the delay causes are listed in the report, but delays risk progress!! The suggested meeting is vitally important to help renew progress!

Sunday 8 September, meet at 10am in the public carpark for Cramond Beach.
Everyone is welcome! Equipment provided, please wear a Hi-Vis vest if you have one.
Bring a drink for afterwards, we will provide the biscuits!
Hope to see you there!!
See below from the latest update on the campus. These updates are part of the process agreed in the mediation. They allow us all to see what is happening and to take part in the discussion.
The outcome of the process was a compromise but was thought by those involved and those consulted in open events to be a reasonable one that would get something useful done and provide facilities for the community.
What will be produced is still subject to review and consultation so is not yet fixed, so you have the chance to comment.
Public Meeting to Discuss the Future of the Cramond Inn – TONIGHT 7.30 pm
The Cramond Association has arranged a public meeting to bring the local community together to discuss the future of Edinburgh’s historic Cramond Inn which has remained closed since the pandemic.
Working in partnership with Cramond & Barnton Community Council, the meeting is geared to creating a local action group to get the Inn, owned by brewery company Samuel Smiths, open and functioning again. Speaking at the event will be a representative of Community Shares Scotland to present a ‘model’ for community ownership.
Chair of the Cramond Association Adam Cumming said: “The ongoing closure of the Cramond Inn is one of the most important current issues of concern both for local people and for the thousands of visitors who regularly visit the Cramond Foreshore.
“The Inn has always played a historic role in providing an important local focal point for our community, as well as providing a stunning location from which to explore and enjoy the local area.
“To have its doors shut, with no immediate prospect of reopening is a very sad state of affairs for all of us. We would like to open a positive dialogue with the Inn’s owners to explore all possibilities of it opening up for business and, once again, being at the heart of our local community.”
The open meeting will take place tonight Monday 24th October at the Millennium Hall at Cramond Kirk Halls, starting at 7.30 pm.

Thank you to all those who came to on meeting on Tuesday 14th. There was a good turnout and more importantly a lot of lively discussion on what the Association should be doing.
We briefly outlined the various things we already do and then discussed how to approach them to make them better and involve more people. We all agreed that rather than talks this coming season we should have meetings that concentrate on the different activities and explore what is happening and what we should do in each area.
We added the problem of the Cramond Inn to that list as everyone thought we should find ways to add to the pressure from CBCC to change ownership and reopen it as a community place. The History Section will continue to arrange talks as before so there will still be times to hear experts talk on their subjects!
Apart from the Cramond Inn we will have meetings on the Woodlands; the Walled Garden, the airport and noise amongst others.
We will also look at holding events such as the 4th of June or others and that may include a Christmas pantomime!!
It will be different and will be exciting with new people involved, and there is room for many more so get in touch if you would like to be involved – either through our Facebook page or via the e-mail – info@cramondassociation.org.uk
