So its always 2nd last and last Mondays of the month from 5 – 6pm, except in December where we wikk communicate dates to parents.

The kids will play at our community Christmas concert on 19th December at North Edinburgh Arts.

Our regular choir continues to meet every last Monday of the month from 6 – 7pm (after the kids training sessions).

The Childcare Academy could be for you!    

THE CHILDCARE ACADEMY IS AN EMPLOYABILITY FUND STAGE 3 PROGRAMME WHICH WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Undertake free training requiring attendance of up to 30 hours weekly within a safe, friendly environment
  • Gain significant experience of working with children by undertaking a quality supported work experience placement within an early years care and education setting or an out of school care setting
  • Gain 2 Accredited SQA Units from the Social Services (Children and Young People) SVQ Level 2 Award
  • Gain employment in the childcare sector
  • Access a Young Persons Allowance of £55 per week for eligible 16 to 18 year olds (for a max of 26 weeks)
  • Progression onto our Modern Apprenticeship programme to gain the SVQ Level 3 Social Services Children and Young People Award

Why not come along to our Childcare Academy information session. This will last approx. 1 hour and will give you the opportunity to find out what is involved in our Academy programme, ask any questions and take away an application pack.

Morrisons charity football match raises £832

The weather was awful, but Sunday night’s charity football match at Spartans between the two local Morrisons stores still raised an impressive £832.76

Congratulations to the organisers and to everyone who took part to help raise funds for SAMH and CLIC SARGENT.

The match result? On an evening better suited to water polo Ferry Road beat their Granton Waterfront rivals 4 – 0!

Unexplained death in West Pilton March: can you help?

Police are appealing for witnesses after the body of a man was discovered yesterday in the Pilton area.

Roots by Routes: Family Fun Day

Easter Drylaw Park

Hi Everyone, 

We would like to invite everyone to a family fun event where we will unveil the story boards and hear some local people share their stories; there will also be free food and activities for children and adults to enjoy. 
The storyboards feature stories, images and information that celebrate the area. They will be placed along the cycle path between Ainslie Park and Easter Drylaw Park.
The event will take place on Drylaw Park on Friday 9th August, 1-3pm.

Funding support for Screen Education Edinburgh

SEVEN projects across Scotland have been awarded a total of £600,000 funding through Screen Scotland’s Film Education Partnership Fund towards Film Education programmes.
