A £12.1 million health centre in Edinburgh is set to bring increased health and social care services under a new name. North West Edinburgh Partnership Centre will now be known as Pennywell All Care Centre following a renaming competition at Craigroyston Community High School. Health Project launches Hungry for Change report

Pilton Community Health Project has launched its new report, ‘Hungry for Change’. The report, the result of conversations with local people experiencing food insecurity, was launched at the Old Kirk and Muirhouse Parish Church yesterday. PCHP want the report to be a catalyst for action to alleviate food insecurity for North Edinburgh residents and to tackle the root causes of poverty. Music to our ears: Children’s Lottery success for Fischy Music

Popular community project Fischy Music has been awarded a £11,696 grant from the Scottish Children’s Lottery. “Positive outcome”: changes to Silverknowes Roundabout layout agreed

Changes to the layout of Silverknowes Roundabout have been agreed to help make it safer and more user-friendly for those on two wheels, as well as pedestrians. The changes will see access onto and off the roundabout at Silverknowes Parkway cut to a single lane for cars and buses. Lottery lifeline for NEDAC

Local agency secures £437,000 Big Lottery grant 

People experiencing loneliness and isolation are amongst those benefitting from £2.5 million of National Lottery funding announced today – World Mental Health Day. It’s great news for North Edinburgh in particular, as respected local organisation North Edinburgh Drug & Alcohol Centre is to receive over £473,000 – the biggest grant of all.
