The City of Edinburgh Council has bought the former National Grid site on Granton’s waterfront after an agreement was reached with National Grid on Tuesday. Development of the site is critical to the Council’s plans to deliver a vibrant city quarter and accelerate the delivery of new homes for people on low and middle incomes, and the deal has been welcomed by local MSPs. Granton & District Community Council’s February meeting focused on plans for Lower Granton Road. Following last week’s meeting the community council decided to hold an extra pre-consultation event to give local residents the opportunity to see and comment on what is being proposed.
It takes place on Wednesday from 6.30 – 8pm at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre (see below):
