Forth Neighbourhood Partnership meets on Thursday
Forth Neighbourhood Partnership will meet on Thursday 18th January from 6 – 8pm at North West Locality Office in West Pilton Gardens.
Items on the agenda include information on walking and cycling improvements on Lower Granton Road, an introduction to the new Health and Social Care Manager, updates on the North West Locality Improvement Plan and the latest Community Grants Fund allocations. There’s also an opportunity to raise issues with your local councillors during the Question Time session.

Leonardo apprentices create new ‘immersive’ work experience programme
- The new work experience format at engineering company Leonardo allows high school students to experience what it would be like to have a career in a high-tech business
- The programme, driven by the company’s engineering apprentices, aims to reflect the real-world impact of engineering and boost students’ enthusiasm for a career in STEM
The value of apprenticeships to Scottish industry could not be more topical, with 2018 marking the launch of Scottish Government’s ‘Year of Young People’ and the UK Government’s ‘Year of Engineering’. It was in the spirit of these two initiatives that apprentices at Crewe Toll-based engineering company Leonardo have created a completely immersive work experience programme for local high school students, believed to be an industry first. Christmas jumpers at Leonardo
Leonardo employees at Crewe Toll wore their Christmas jumpers to work yesterday to raise funds for Save the Children – and carried out a salute as a mark of respect for the men and women in the military who serve over Christmas as part of the #saluteourforces campaign.
Surplus office furniture at Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones (North Edinburgh) is moving to a new building on Monday 18th of September and there are some items that will surplus to requirements.
Items such as a fridge freezer, chairs, filing cabinets, pin boards etc.

August round of Neighbourhood Partnership meetings
Neighbourhood Partnership meetings are taking place in August
With the ongoing rollout of new Localities community planning structures across the city, the future of Neighbourhood Partnerships has been in some doubt but they are back for now – at least until a suitable replacement can be agreed.
Neighbourhood Partnership meetings are open to the public, so take the opportunity to hear discussions and decisions about Local Community Grant Fund applications, North West Locality Improvement Planning, participate in the popular ‘question time’ session and more.
There are four Neighbourhood Partnerships within the new North West Locality and each of these will meet in August. Dates are:
Forth Neighbourhood Partnership
Tuesday 15 August at Royston Wardieburn Community Centre, 6.30-8.30pm
Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership
Monday 21 August at Stockbridge Library, 6.30-8.30pm.
Almond Neighbourhood Partnership
Wed 23 August at Rosebery Hall, South Queensferry, 6.30-8.30pm.
Western Neighbourhood Partnership
Thursday 31 August Drumbrae Hub, 6.30-8.30pm.
