Edinburgh College students PASS out in style at Traverse Theatre

Acting and Performance students from Edinburgh College took the final bow of their studies as they performed a farewell show at the city’s Traverse Theatre. Thirty-five students took to the stage to perform a newly devised three-part piece of theatre based on the theme of ‘revolting’.

The show – PASS Out – is an annual production by the college’s HND students and is the culmination of the students’ time at the college. This year’s Technical Theatre students also worked on the production, supporting with stage management, props and sound. Flying the flag for RAF100

Marking 100 years of the Royal Air Force (RAF), the RAF100 Baton Relay made its way to Edinburgh on Monday (28 May 2018) as part of its procession across 100 sites in 100 days. Lord Duncan was joined by serving RAF personnel, veterans and the Lord Provost in carrying the specially-created commemorative baton, following a Legion Scotland piper from Parliament to Edinburgh Castle. Backs to the wall hero: city commemorates Lieutenant Ker VC

A lasting tribute to one of Scotland’s World War One heroes has been unveiled by the Lord Provost of Edinburgh Frank Ross. A commemorative flagstone to Allan Ebenezer Ker – a 35-year-old Lieutenant in 3rd Battalion, The Gordon Highlanders – has been laid at the site of his Edinburgh home, 100 years since he received the Victoria Cross.

Michele McDougall funeral service

The service will be at Lorimer Chapel at Warriston on Tuesday 5th June at 1.pm Everyone very welcome.

“A wonderful woman I first knew when she was chair of the Greater Pilton Childcare Action Group in the early 90s. She took up so many other causes over the years, in spite of ill health, and it was always an inspiration to talk with her , including at St. Columba’s earlier this month. Deepest condolences to Lauren; RIP Michelle.”

I am so very sad to hear of Michelle’s passing .She was a really beautiful woman both inside and outside .We did keep in touch for a while through texts and occasionaly FB. I am thinking of her daughter whom Michelle introduced me to .She was a lovely person ,like her mother and had just completed her degree.

If you see this please know I am thinking of you .I am also thinking of Michelle who suffered so much pain but never it make her bitter She always saw the bright side of things .She will be so missed by everybody .So my condolences to hear family,friends and all who knew her .RIP Michelle – you deserve it .
