Holyrood’s Committee Conveners will have the opportunity to question the First Minister on her Government’s plans in an extended session of Parliament’s Conveners Group next week.
Key committee issues including the impact of Brexit, along with education and health concerns will be on the agenda when the First Minister appears before Conveners.
The session will be held on 8 May and has been extended from ninety minutes to two hours to allow a more detailed scrutiny of the First Minister.
Greeting the announcement of the session, Chair of the Conveners Group, Deputy Presiding Officer Christine Grahame MSP, said: “The chance for Committee Conveners to directly question the First Minister on the work of Government is vital.
“Our Committees carry out a wide range of valuable work holding the Government to account. They undertake detailed scrutiny on a range of issues from health and education to the environment and Brexit, and by extending this session to two hours they will have even more time to probe the First Minister on key issues affecting every aspect of Scottish life.
“We are all looking forward to a lively and robust debate on the issues which matter most to the people of Scotland.”

It will take place between 12 and 2pm, on Wednesday 8 May in Committee Room 2, and will be chaired by Deputy Presiding Officer Christine Grahame MSP.
