EVOC AGM: Tuesday 6th November

EVOC Annual Conference and AGM: ‘Never Afraid to Challenge’

Tuesday 6th November, 9:30am – 4:30pm

John McIntyre Conference Centre, Pollock Halls

During our 150th year, EVOC will be delivering an exciting programme of events and activities that will uncover, celebrate and bring to life this long history within Edinburgh’s Third Sector.

However, looking to the future is just as important, if not more, than celebrating our past and this year our conference will focus on how we can continue to inspire and nurture the next generation of activists, protesters and campaigners and support Edinburgh’s charities to make life the best it can be for the city’s residents.

Interactive Workshops

Before lunch delegates will hear a speech, to be delivered by inspiring young people via Young Scot, and all about our EVOC 150 project. Guests will then have the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops around the themes of: Organising, Tackling Inequality, Protest and Campaigning, and Working Together.

The EVOC AGM will then take place before lunch, and all are welcome to attend. This will be followed by lunch and an opportunity to explore the stalls at our Third Sector ‘Marketplace’ where the following organisations will be in attendance:

Thought Provoking Discussion

A panel discussion will follow lunch and delegates will hear from Ewan Aitken, CEO of Cyrenians, Jan-Bert van den Berg, Director of ArtLink and Patrycja Kupiec, Director of YWCA. After this, workshops from the morning will be repeated to allow delegates to attend another choice of workshop.

This event is free to attend and open to all.
