Immerse Productions are inviting people to take part in their first theatrical attraction, “Year Zero” at The Biscuit Factory from the 12th – 16th of June.
The concept:
The United Kingdom is on the brink of a nuclear apocalypse. Political tension is at a record high and time for a diplomatic resolution is over. A group of strangers gather in an abandoned Biscuit Factory and wait for further instructions. Will they survive the blast? Can they withstand the fallout?
Using the latest technology and storytelling combined, the audience will be transported to a pre-apocalyptic world where confusion and panic is rife …
“We are really excited to participate in this year’s Leith Festival”, said director Sean Quinn.
“Interest in Immersive theatre is growing and we have seen a rise in popularity for Escape rooms, “Secret” Bars and walk-through attractions over the last twelve months.
“This demonstrates that people are looking for a more realistic and interactive experience.
“Year Zero will be an intense roller coaster ride, the audience will be plunged into a chaotic environment where everyone is focused on survival and your morals will be challenged.”
Auditions for the production will be held in Edinburgh on Monday 14 May. Email hello@immerseproductions.org for details of time and place and to book an audition slot.
Rehearsals will take place in the evenings of the week beginning June 4 with a tech/dress rehearsal on Monday June 11. The show will run in the evenings June 12 – 16.
