Rollup, roll up … Circadius celebration

Circadius – a night of entertainment!

Open to all ages.

Join Muirhouse Youth Development Group to celebrate their circus skills project. One night of circus entertainment, film screenings, face-painting and a circus buffet.

Circadius is an 18-month long adventure, exploring the history and magic of the circus in times gone by.

Circadius was created by young people from Muirhouse Youth Development Group, through a series of weekly skills workshops, focussed arts sessions, conversations with older people and visits to the National Library of Scotland.

Tickets are free but they are limited.
They can be collected from North Edinburgh Arts reception.

The project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Young Roots programme and Cashback for Creativity.

Please note that the event is open to all ages and we will be directing children between 3-10 years to an art activity while the films are being shown.

Members of the public are being urged to “spread a little kindness” to help mark Mental Health Awareness Week. The national week runs from 8 to 14 May but it also coincides with the year-long 52 Weeks of Kindness campaign run by Breathing Space, Scotland’s mental health helpline. Dreamboats and Petticoats at The Playhouse

Dreamboats and Petticoats The Musical returns to celebrate 10 years of the multi-million selling albums that inspired the Olivier Award nominated musical. Beltane Fire Festival: ‘celebration in it’s purest form’

Edinburgh’s most spectacular local festival returned to Calton Hill at the weekend for the revived tradition of the Beltane Fire Festival. Run by the Beltane Fire Society, celebrating their 30th festival, it was another wild night of revelry, fire-play, interactive physical theatre and thunderous drums.
