Following the announcement of the successful applicants to the Health and Social Care Grants programme in December, we know that a number of previously funded projects were not successful.

While we totally understand the current pressures that these project are under at the moment, we are very keen to try and quantify the impact on volunteering following the loss of these valued and important services.

If your project is impacted by the decisions of the EIJB and your project currently involves volunteers we would really like to hear from you.

Fet Lor Youth Club garden tidy this Saturday

We are having a garden tidy this Saturday at FetLor in order to improve the area at the front of the building! All are welcome to join us, hot drinks and snacks provided.

New Chairperson for Circle

Grant Sugden has been appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees at Circle. Grant previously worked at Circle as a Senior Manager before leaving in 2011 to take up his current full-time role as Chief Executive of Waverley Care, Scotland’s HIV and Hepatitis C Charity. Young volunteers invited to join the IRONKIDS Scotland event team

Organisers of IRONKIDS Scotland, a series of three fun and family-friendly running events for young people aged 3 to 14 of all abilities in Midlothian, East Lothian and Edinburgh on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 June, are providing opportunities for young volunteers between the ages of 16 and 26 from the local communities to work alongside and learn from the event management teams in event delivery roles.

Walk the Walk is calling on people to sparkle like a Holyrood star by volunteering at The MoonWalk Scotland on Saturday 9th June. The grant-making breast cancer charity is looking for fantastic Volunteers to help at the event which starts and finishes at Holyrood Park.
