West Pilton’s Christmas Fair
Hate to use the ‘C’ word when it’s only October, but …
West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre are holding their annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 28 November from 12.0 -2.0pm.
Anyone wishing to take a table, particularly those selling Christmas crafts, should call Linda Chandler at the Centre on 551 3194.
West Pilton Table Sale on Friday
West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre is holding a Table Sale this Friday (17 April) from 11am – 3pm.
Call in to the Centre to book your table or telephone 551 3194 – tables are £2 (large), £1 (small) and it’s just £1 if you bring your own.
The cafe’s open for refreshments and snacks too.

Saturday sales
A reminder of two local fundraisers taking place this weekend:
There’s a table top sale at Old Kirk & Muirhouse Church in Pennywell Gardens tomorrow from 10am – 1pm. Tables still available, £5. Come along and grab a bargain!
Also tomorrow, LifeCare in Cheyne Street is the place to be to pick up some early Christmas gifts – they are holding a Craft Fair from 10.30 – 4.30pm, and there’s soup, rolls and snacks too.

The Old Kirk & Muirhouse Church (formerly Muirhouse St Andrew’s) on Pennywell Gardens is holding a table top sale on Saturday (20 September) from 10am – noon.

Table sale at Muirhouse Millennium Centre
A date for your diary … Muirhouse Millennium Centre is holding a Table Sale on Saturday 23 March from 11am – 3pm. Fre entry.
You can reserve your table now – tables cost £5 for Centre members (£7.50 for non-members) and the cafe will be open serving tea, coffees and cakes. Why not pop along and pick up a bargain?

Potty Planter Winners
The Muirhouse Centipede Project is pleased to announce that the winners of the recent Potty Planters competition at West Pilton and Muirhouse Gala were:
1. Pre school: Abbi Smith (aged 4).
Planter was an Irn Bru Glass with a colourful flower in it.
Story: ‘Abbi thought these were pretty!’
2. Lower primary: Amelia and Julia Dorozynska (aged 8 & 3)
Planter was a welly boot with a colourful flower in it.
Story: “This planter used to be Amelia’s welly which she really liked but it got some holes so it doesn’t work well, but makes a very nice planter. Now we can all enjoy it”
3. Upper primary: Chelsea Diamond (aged 10).
Planter was a pair of welly boots, with strawberries growing in them.
Story: “My favourite Welles that grow my favourite fruit – strawberries!”
4. Adult: Pearl Dunbar (aged 73).
Planter was a child’s push along wooden block trolley.
Story: “Porta-garden: everywhere you go, your garden goes with you!”
The Champion was Pre school.
Winner 1 got box of sand toys, modelling clay, and a money bank. Winners 2 and 3 got a game and a money box and winner 4 received a £10 Asda voucher. The Judge was Colin Douglas, assistant minister at Cramond, who is a Wes Piltont resident.
