Community writing: Words for Wellbeing at North Edinburgh Arts

We can’t contain our excitement – our autumn programme is kicking off next week!

We have some new activities this term, and one of them is Words for Wellbeing: a 6-week writing project starting on Friday, 13 September at 10.30am.

Join us for a couple of hours to discover new writing approaches, develop creativity and support your own well-being. The project is free and everyone’s welcome.

Dr Bike’s at The Shed this Saturday

Dr Bike is coming to The Community Shed on Saturday 3 August. If your bike needs repairing or checking over, then bring it along and get it fixed up for free from 11am – 1pm!

Free – Drop-in – First come, first served basis

NEA’s young gardeners to visit Botanics

Our Youth Garden Club is going on a trip to the Botanics on Thursday, 25 July, 12noon – 4pm. We’ll be having a tour of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh‘s Glasshouses, visiting the wormery and having a picnic lunch. 

Suitable for young people 8 – 12 years old; Free to attend but advance registration required.


We only have got a few spots on this trip so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Today’s Festival Fun Day is FULLY BOOKED but we still have places on our creative morning sessions, garden drop-ins, youth film clubs and family-friendly events taking place later in the month and in August.

We’re celebrating the start of our summer programme, and we hope you can join us for a day of street performers, garden and arts activities for all ages and a family-friendly BBQ!

a taste of what’s on offer at NEA this summer (8 July – 8 August)
