The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) Edible Gardening Project has won an award at this year’s Horticulture Week Custodian Awards. Port of Leith’s sheltered housing team shines at national awards

Port of Leith Housing Association’s sheltered housing team have won an award for brining the Scottish Social Services (SSS) Council’s codes of practice to life at the SSS Awards, which recognise best practice and individuals who are making a real difference to the lives of the people they support.

Maureen Tait, Sheltered Housing Services Manager, Port of Leith Housing Association said: “We’re thrilled that we have been singled out for this award. Our whole team has worked together to make the Scottish Social Services Council’s codes and values real and meaningful to our staff and tenants.

“We have also developed a team charter which demonstrates our staff’s values and beliefs, and shows our tenants that we’re committed to excellent service delivery. It’s fantastic that the team’s hard work and dedication has been recognised. I’m really proud of them.”

 

 

 

National award for local tenants organisation

Local housing organisation TRIM (Tenants and Residents in Muirhouse) and Friends of West Pilton was named Tenants Group of the Year at the annual Tenant Information Service National Excellence awards in Glasgow on Saturday. The awards recognise and honour landlords, tenants, residents, and community groups who are leading the way and making a difference within the Scottish social housing sector. Edinburgh’s inspiring volunteers to take centre stage

Over sixty of Edinburgh’s most inspring volunteers are to be honoured by Frank Ross, Rt. Hon. Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh, at a special awards ceremony tomorrow during #VolunteersWeekScotland. Tenants and Residents up for National Excellence award

A local tenants and residents association has been short-listed for an award at next month’s Tenants Information Service (TIS) Annual Excellence Awards. Tenants and Residents in Muirhouse & Friends of West Pilton (TRIM & FOWP) are finalists in the tenants and residents organisation of the year category and have been invited to attend the TIS National Excellence Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in Glasgow on 10th June.
