CLAMPDOWN ON ILLEGAL USE OF ELECTRIC BIKES
Yesterday, Edinburgh City Centre Policing Unit worked alongside Home Office Immigration Officers to tackle the illegal use of electric bikes.
The operation resulted in 7 illegal e-bikes seized riders charged with 20 offences. Two immigration matters were also identified and are being dealt with separately by the Home Office.
We’ll continue working with partners to improve road safety, tackle offending and keep our communities safe.
