Places available for tomorrow’s EVOC Thinkspace EIJB event

Wednesday 15th May: 8.30am – 1.30pm

City of Edinburgh Methodist Church, Nicholson Square

Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC) is hosting an event to discuss the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership’s incoming Strategic Plan.

Over the last 15 months, EVOC has work closely with our partners and colleagues to support Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) and the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (EIJB) in the development of its revised Strategic Plan.

This has been an involved piece of work, which has seen significant change and improvement across the Partnership; the delivery of a Grants Review programme which presents both opportunities and challenges for different organisations and the recruitment of an almost entirely new Senior Management Team within the Partnership.

As part of a programme of transformation and change, this plan is to be seen as part of a wider set of plans which aim to support the kinds of change that are required by significant demographic change, increased pressure upon the budgets of the Partnership, City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian.

Those plans include:

·         A Transformational Plan to support long term change and management control over spending and key wicked issues – e.g. assessment backlogs and delays to hospital discharges.

·         The incoming Strategic Plan should be seen as the first of three over approximately the next ten years, with the aim of ensuring the delivery plan will consider short, medium and long term phasing of the work.

·         Underlying these plans, the Partnership will develop annual plans, describing the activity to take place each year to achieve these higher-level plans.

This will allow the IJB to have clear input and governance of the delivery of its transformational plan, with the ambition to improve quality and efficiency of services to Edinburgh’s citizens.

The event on 15th May 2019 will be the opportunity for Third Sector providers to come together with Senior Managers from Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership to look at the detail of the Plan and begin to formulate a response on behalf of the Sector.

This will offer Third Sector providers the opportunity to come together with representatives from the Health and Social Care Partnership/Integration Joint Board to explore the detail of the Plan and begin the development of a formal response.

Due to the anticipated high demand for this event, we will require registration and need to restrict attendance to representatives from the Third Sector.
