Moving towards fitness with Active Aqua

New classes start next week

Ryan Martin, Health Development Officer at Edinburgh Leisure said: “Active Aqua is the perfect class for anyone looking to get active again after recovering from an injury or illness and looking to gain water confidence whilst working out.  However, this class is definitely not aimed at regular Aqua fitters.”

The 40-minute class is a low level cardiac workout which focuses on building or maintaining muscle tone and improving coordination. The class will take place in shallow water and will have a capacity of 12.

New participants attending their first class will be asked to meet the instructor at reception 20 minutes before class starts and prior to getting changed where they will be asked a few questions, to ensure the participant is able to take part safely and the check for any assistance needed getting into the water.

This will allow the instructor to ask the participant a few questions (not recorded). These questions will help the instructor to ensure the participant is able to take part safely and to check whether any assistance is required for getting into the water.

In line with Edinburgh Leisure’s Low Level Get Active products, classes are priced at the concessionary rate of £3.75 and are included in current memberships.
