The LOOPs Phoneline offered tailored information to older people on activities and services across Edinburgh over the past five years.
Unfortunately the LOOPs Phoneline was unsuccessful in securing funding in the recent Health and Social Care Grants programme and in common with other LOOPs family projects it came to an end on 31 March.
However we recognise that many of our customers would still be in need of support and to prevent any callers simply receiving a “sorry we are closed” recorded message, we have decided to rebrand and continue the service for a transition period of at least three months.
Now called Phoneline, this service provides information, support and sign-posting to anyone in Edinburgh who wants access to support or get involved in activities. The Phoneline is open Monday to Friday from 10.00am until 2.00pm and is staffed by our skilled, friendly volunteers who provide a highly personalised information service.
