Dog reunited with owners after eight weeks missing

The Scottish SPCA has reunited a dog with her owners, EIGHT WEEKS after she went missing.

The black and white husky cross named Kali went missing whilst out on a walk in West Lothian on 25 July.

Scottish SPCA Inspector Jennifer Surgeon said, “A member of the public spotted Kali and contacted our animal helpline. Thankfully Kali had a microchip so we were able to contact her owners straight away to reunite them.

“Her family were delighted to hear she had been found after such a long time. This case really highlights the benefits of microchipping your pets, as without one it is possible Kali would not have been reunited with her owners.”

Carolyn Thomson, Kali’s owner said, “Our family have been heart-broken since she went missing, especially my granddaughter Louise.

“We are delighted to have Kali back in our care and are so grateful to the Scottish SPCA Inspector that brought her back home.

“Kali has been settling well since she returned and continues to regain her confidence daily. Thank god we had Kali microchipped.”
