We’re working to upgrade the gas network in Pennywell Road, Edinburgh, as part of an £88,000 project. This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.
Following discussions with The City of Edinburgh Council, our work started on Monday 1 October and will last for approximately 10 weeks.
We’ll be working in Pennywell Road between its junctions with Mottram Road and Pennywell Gardens. Pennywell Road will be closed to northbound traffic between the two junctions and a diversion route will be in place for motorists via West Granton Access and West Granton Road.
Some temporary road closures will also be in place as we meet the junctions of Northview Court and Muirhouse Avenue.
Pennywell Gardens will be closed to westbound traffic and a local diversion route will be in place.
