A team from Stonegate Pub Company’s northern division is raising funds for the Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH) by completing the strenuous SAMH STOMP charity challenge at BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday.
The STOMP route takes steppers on an extreme trail of 7,400 stairs through the stands of the stadium. The Stonegate team, from 12 pubs across Scotland, is hoping to raise at least £2000 for SAMH, the charity of choice in the north for Stonegate.
One of the Team Leaders, Ross Allan, said: “As we prepare for this stair master challenge, we know all the sore legs and tired muscles will be worth the effort. It’s so important for charities like SAMH to exist and support those in need – after all, it might one day be one of us. We would be beyond grateful for any support and all donations, however large or small, to help us reach our target.”
SAMH and MIND were adopted as Stonegate’s North Division’s official charities for this year and so far the business has raised £65,000 from various fundraising events.
