TRACKER signs major new deal with Arnold Clark

TRACKER, the stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) specialist, has signed a major new deal with Arnold Clark Automobiles Limited, Europe’s largest independently owned family-run car dealer. Under the new agreement TRACKER is the preferred supplier of stolen vehicle tracking units to over 200 Arnold Clark dealerships throughout the UK providing its customers a high level of protection against vehicle theft.

Arnold Clark Automobiles Limited is one of the largest car dealer groups in Europe, offering customers the best choice and biggest discounts on all new cars, nearly new cars and used cars. The partnership with TRACKER (part of the Tantalum Corporation,) will see a choice of products, including Battery Powered Retrieve, Monitor, Locate and Cat 5, rolled out across all Arnold Clark dealerships over the next few months.

Neil Hardie, Northern Regional Sales Manager at TRACKER, said: “It is fantastic to now be working with Arnold Clark in order to ensure customers receive the best protection possible for their vehicles.

“In the past few years Police Scotland has significantly invested in equipping its patrol vehicles and helicopter with our revolutionary VHF tracking technology in the fight against vehicle crime. And our unique partnership with Police Scotland will ensure we can achieve the highest conceivable recovery rate for Arnold Clark customers.

“We know that Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, and cosmopolitan city, Glasgow, usually record the most stolen and recovered vehicles, however our figures show that thieves don’t just target the city and they don’t always go for the expensive brands. Northern cities, such as Aberdeen and Inverness, experience a high number of vehicle thefts and rural crime hot spots often spike along the Scottish Borders and Perth & Kinross. A very high number of thefts are also seen in Lanarkshire.”

“In partnership with TRACKER, we are enabling our dealerships to deliver a solution that will provide a critical defence against vehicle theft, giving our customers added peace of mind,” says Jim Graham, Group Risk and Products Director at Arnold Clark Automobiles Limited.

“With over 18,000 new and used cars in stock and sales of new cars from 24 manufacturers, we needed a solution that was going to be reliable and provide the highest quality service to our customers.”

TRACKER’s award winning SVR systems have been reuniting car lovers with their stolen vehicles for 25 years.  In 2017 it saw a 5% year-on-year increase in stolen vehicle recoveries, with the total value of stolen vehicles recovered in 2017 exceeding 12.5 million.

Operating like an electronic homing device, and unlike any other SVR devices on the market today, TRACKER’s unique technology can locate stolen vehicles anywhere, even when they are hidden in a garage, a shipping container or somewhere in Europe.  A covert TRACKER transmitter is hidden in one of several dozen places around the vehicle. There is no visible aerial, so the thief won’t even know it’s there.
