MSP congratulates Edinburgh Accies on promotion to top flight

Lothian MSP Miles Briggs has tabled a motion at Parliament congratulating Edinburgh Accies Rugby club on their promotion to the BT Premiership.

Raeburn Place-based Edinburgh Accies won 21 out of 22 games with 20 try bonus points. Jed Forest also won 21 out of 22 games with 20 try bonus point, but Edinburgh Accies had a better point difference.

The motion has received cross party support.

Miles Briggs commented: “This is an excellent achievement for Edinburgh Accies and well deserved for their hard work and commitment this season. I wish Edinburgh Accies all the best for a successful season in next year’s BT Premiership.”
