Stockbridge & Inverleith Community Meeting
Wednesday 8 June at 7 pm
Stockbridge Parish Church, Saxe-Coburg Street
I am writing on behalf of Stockbridge and Inverleith Community Council (SICC) to invite you to come along to a community meeting on Wednesday 8 June 2016 at 7 pm at Stockbridge Parish Church, 7b Saxe Coburg Street, Edinburgh, EH3 5BN.
This has been jointly arranged by SICC and Stockbridge Parish Church. The meeting will start at 7 pm with a welcoming cup of tea or coffee. Both organisations would like to find out about the issues in our area you are concerned about.
SICC acts as a voice for our local area. It is an independent body which is completely separate from City of Edinburgh Council. Community Council members, all local residents, are volunteers, who care about our community and want to make it a better place to live.
Our main role is put forward community views and ideas to the City of Edinburgh Council and to other organisations like NHS Lothian, Police Scotland and the Scottish Government. The Council also has a duty to consult us about issues affecting our neighbourhood.
You can find out more about our work on our website: http://www.stockbridgeandinverleithcc.moonfruit.com/
If you’re not able to come on the 8th, please get in touch with us by email at stockbridgeandinverleithcc@gmail.com
I hope that you’ll be able to join us and hear about the work of the Community Council, Stockbridge Parish Church and other local organisations and, most importantly, tell us about your ideas and concerns for the area.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
Penny Richardson
Chair, Stockbridge & Inverleith Community Council
